I also bought a lovely new doe, Gard's Shilo. With her massive body and gorgeous head, Shilo is doe that I feel will be a wonderful addition to my otter project. I am very grateful to have her.

Things are going well around here lately! ​I'm particularly excited about Eclipse (pictured above)! She's turning out super cute, I LOVE what the Titanium x Blueberry breeding produces.

​Probably not attending any shows next month, since pretty much everyone's either on litters or really young for their class. I'd like to show Eclipse one more time before she turns senior though. Maybe I'll take a few rabbits to Stockton on the 3rd just for fun and the judges' comments.

Hello again!

A few updates! First off, I went through my only West Coast Classic litter, and I have to say I'm pleased! Out of the three, there's two that really caught my eye - a broken blue otter buck (with one white dipped ear - SWOON!) and a blue otter doe. They're pretty darn cute so far, so hopefully they turn out nice!

I decided to keep Eclipse, a black otter doe, and Polaris, a blue otter buck. I like Eclipse quite a bit, she's more brood than show at this point but still has some nice parts and has some maturing to do. I am really excited about Polaris, as at this point he is looking to have REALLY awesome bone! Definitely a mark in his favor, as I'm getting pickier about bone with my Otters. I think his HEC will come with time. He's in a bit of an awkward stage right now but looking good so far.

Diegel's Trinket (blue tort) was bred to Diegel's Edmund (blue otter) about a week or two ago. This will be Trinket's first litter. Really excited for this breeding, as they are two of my current favorites. It'll also be fun to have a litter of only dilutes!

​I have a handful more breedings in mind for the next couple months. Once I've got some time I'll figure out who I'll be breeding when. I do have a gorgeous chocolate carrier doe flying over soon, so that'll be fun.

1. I am a Youth breeder of Holland Lops. I am registered with ARBA, and my rabbitry is too. I am also a member of the Holland Lop Rabbit Specialty Club (HLRSC) and a member of 4-H.
2. My first rabbit was a Broken Chocolate Holland Lop doe named Gorgeous. I got her for Christmas when she was 8 weeks old. I had wanted a rabbit for a long time, and had set my heart on getting a 'brown and white girl lop rabbit'. I got my wish, and I've been addicted to Holland Lops ever since!
3. My favorite color of Holland Lop is Broken Blue Otter. Honestly, I love any form of Otter, and I also love Broken Orange, Blue Tort and Smoke Pearl. :)
4. I have a small rabbitry, and I like it that way. Quality before quantity, I always say! I have just enough cages to keep and breed only the very best, so why waste time and feed on raising lesser quality animals?
5. I lead a 4-H rabbit and cavy project! Members of our project have gone on to win top placings in county and statewide events!
6. I really love genetics, and I love learning more about it in my textbooks, and in real life with my rabbit hobby. This is one of the many reasons why I love breeding colored Hollands!
7. I fully support both ethical rescues and responsible breeders, I believe there is no either-or. Ethical rescues do amazing work, and responsible breeders produce high-quality animals with strong genetics and excellent temperaments!
8. Two years ago, I got 2nd place Small Animal Master Showman in the state of California! It was so much fun, and such a huge honor! I would definitely recommend competing if you ever get the opportunity!
9. My favorite rabbit I currently own is my Black Otter herd buck, Diegel's Titanium, who is from Tommy Diegel. Titanium is an incredibly friendly rabbit, and passes on his awesome structure, color, and temperament to his kits!
​10. I also love training my dog!
