GENERAL:
~All sales are conducted in accordance with Lots of Lops Rabbitry's Sales Policy, regardless of whether the buyer has read it or not. By purchasing a rabbit from Lots of Lops Rabbitry, you are agreeing to comply with this Sales Policy in its entirety.
~My Sales Policy is subject to change at any time without prior notice.
~Show/brood rabbits are offered first through our Facebook group. It is a closed group - any Facebook user can send in a join request. NOTE: You MUST answer all 3 admission questions in order to be approved.
~Pet quality rabbits are sold via email or Instagram, not Facebook. Simply email me and I can let you know what is available.
~We do not have a waiting list and will not usually notify individuals about sales posts.
~We reserve the right to refuse to sell any rabbit to any person at any time.
~We reserve the right to terminate any sale at any time.
CARE:
~Rabbit must be given appropriate housing, nutrition, medical treatment, and humane handling for the entire duration of their life.
~Rabbit must not be used for meat, fur, pet food, or any other uses that result in pain, fear, injury or death to the animal.
~Rabbit must never be abandoned, dumped, or surrendered to a shelter or rescue.
~Rabbit must not be housed outdoors, or left alone outdoors unsupervised.
~Young children should always be supervised when interacting with the rabbit.
PRICES and PAYMENT:
~Prices are subject to change without notice.
~We accept cash or PayPal, but not checks or money order.
~I will not hold or reserve a rabbit for any person until it has been paid for in full.
~Prices are non-negotiable.
~The rabbit must be paid for in full before leaving my ownership. Until this time, the rabbit is the property of Lots of Lops Rabbitry.
~A rabbit will only be considered "sold" if it has been paid for in full. No rabbits will be considered "sold" without full payment, unless by prior arrangement.
TRANSPORT:
~Given reasonable notice, I can usually offer free transport to any shows I am attending. If the buyer does not arrive to pick up the rabbit by the agreed-upon time and does not give what I consider reasonable notice, the money will be forfeited and the rabbit will be offered for sale again.
~It is the buyer's responsibility to arrange and pay for transport.
~Lots of Lops Rabbitry is not to be held responsible for any injury, illness, or death of the rabbit after it leaves our care, as these circumstances are out of our control and rabbits may react negatively to any stress resulting from being transported.
~Lots of Lops Rabbitry's health guarantee does not apply to rabbits being transported by a transporter.
AIRLINE SHIPPING:
~Shipping of show or brood quality rabbits within the continental USA is occasionally possible, at the buyer's expense. Shipping is dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
~I use Delta Airlines for all rabbits shipped via airline.
~Price for shipping rabbits varies. The buyer is responsible for covering the cost of airline fees, a plastic airline approved kennel, a metal transport carrier, and food and water bowls. Oftentimes, we have extras of these supplies that we can sell to you to save you the cost of shipping them to us. Talk to us for more information.
~There must be a minimum purchase price of $400 worth of rabbit(s) in order for us to ship the rabbit(s).
~Lots of Lops Rabbitry is NOT to be held responsible for any injury, illness, or death of the rabbit resulting from the flight. These circumstances are out of our control, so our health guarantee does NOT apply to rabbits being shipped via airline.
REFUNDS/EXCHANGES:
~I do not give refunds, except in accordance with my health guarantee below.
~Failure to comply with any part of Lots of Lops Rabbitry's Sales Policy in any way means you are not eligible for refund.
~If you ever cannot keep the Pet Quality rabbit you purchased from us, please contact me first and offer the rabbit back to me. At my discretion, I may offer to take the rabbit back and find it a suitable new home. There will be no questions asked, and we will not charge you anything for this service.
~If you decide to part with a Show/Brood Quality rabbit you purchased from us, please contact me first and offer it back to me. I may wish to buy the animal back from you for use in my own herd.
~If you back out of a sale after having paid for the rabbit, I will not refund.
QUALITY:
~Show/brood quality animals must keep their full pedigree names given to them by their original breeder (in most cases, Lots of Lops Rabbitry).
~Show/brood quality animals produced by Lots of Lops Rabbitry must keep the herd prefix LOL before their name. This includes names on pedigrees of the animals in question in addition to the pedigrees of their future offspring.
~Rabbits are sold as-is. It is the responsibility of the buyer to check over the rabbit before purchase. Don't just take my word for it though, look over the animal yourself. I may have missed something, and I don't want you buying something you don't want!
~If a rabbit has a disqualification that is known to us, we will always tell the buyer before purchase, or we will specifically use the word 'brood' when referring to the rabbit. Examples of DQs we would use in our breeding program to produce show-worthy offspring would be false dwarfs (aka normals), torted otters (aka foxes), and rabbits with broken toes, torn ears, etc..
~Pet quality rabbits will not make good show rabbits, but would make great pets or Showmanship rabbits! We do not offer pedigrees with any pet quality rabbits. Pet quality rabbits are sold under the strict understanding that they will not be used for breeding under any circumstances. This is a rule that we take extremely seriously.
GUARANTEES:
~All rabbits are guaranteed to be healthy to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale.
~We do not guarantee health (except in accordance with our Health Guarantee below), show placings, weight, fertility, how well a rabbit will produce, or temperament.
~We guarantee the sex of Sr. rabbits (over 6 months of age). With younger rabbits, there is a very small chance a mistake could have been made, so, therefore, we do not guarantee the sex of Jr. rabbits (under 6 months of age).
~We always disclose any disqualifications of show/brood before the rabbit has been sold. However, mistakes could possibly be made. It is the buyer's responsibility to look over the rabbit and check for faults/DQs before purchase.
HEALTH GUARANTEE:
~When a rabbit is sold or put up for sale, it is healthy to the best of my knowledge.
~Once the rabbit leaves my care, I unfortunately cannot make any health guarantee. This is because rabbits are unpredictable animals by nature. I am not responsible for how the new owner chooses to take care of the rabbit, or any mistakes the buyer makes in the care, handling, and health of the animal. Therefore, I unfortunately cannot make any health guarantee. I do however advise the owner to contact me immediately so we can discuss any issues at hand.
~Lots of Lops Rabbitry is not responsible for any veterinary fees incurred at any point during the life of the animal.
INCLUDED WITH THE RABBIT:
~All buyers are provided with a bag of transition feed.
~All show/brood rabbits come with a pedigree.
~New rabbit owners are provided with a free care instruction pamphlet, plus supplements and a sample bag of Critical Care formula with a syringe.
~Buyers of pet rabbits get a birth certificate with their rabbit!
~In the best interests of my rabbit and yours, I unfortunately cannot offer boarding for rabbits I have sold. This is because I operate a closed rabbitry and do not want to risk the biosecurity of my herd. The health of my rabbits is extremely important to me, so this is a decision that ensures the safety of your rabbits and my own! :)
~All buyers are encouraged to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns about their rabbit at any point in the animal's life.
